In October 2025, ADGEX deployed a mobile chemical-free water treatment station — reVODA — to produce high-quality drinking water and boiler feedwater by purifying surface water from a natural reservoir.

Conducted tests

Water for treatment was drawn from a reservoir located at the confluence of two rivers. The reVODA station demonstrated outstanding results in both drinking water and boiler feedwater.

The result achieved

The treated water met the standards of "Drinking Water", with reduced hardness.

Independent laboratory tests confirmed the quality of both the drinking water and the boiler feedwater before and after treatment.

Technological breakthrough

The technological breakthrough of the reVODA stations lies in their ability to purify and disinfect water without the use of any chemicals or reagents.

Reagent-free reVODA stations are designed for high-quality water treatment from surface natural water sources (rivers and lakes) and from wells in compliance with the requirements of "Australian Drinking Water Guidelines".

Functional capabilities of reVODA station:

  • Removal of iron, manganese, and heavy metals.
  • Reduction of dissolved salts and mineral content.
  • Sterilization: Complete elimination of all microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, cysts).
  • Removal of arsenic, fluoride, chlorine, boron, iodine, and their compounds.
  • Elimination of microplastics and nanoplastics.
  • Removal of hydrogen sulfide (and associated odors).
  • Removal of ammonia.
  • Precise adjustment of water hardness.

ENSURING ACCESSIBLE DRINKING WATER FOR ALL

Reagent-free reVODA stations can be installed in either a stationary installation in existing premises or a mobile container installation.

It's worth noting that

The containerized design of reVODA stations provides an optimal solution for providing high-quality drinking water in any location and infrastructure, whether in densely populated areas or remote and uninhabited areas.

ReVODA stations require no chemical supplies; they only require electricity, which can easily be provided by the diesel generator included with the container. The energy consumption of the reVODA station for the treatment of 1 m³ of drinking water is 1 kWh (the only operating cost).

ReVODA container drinking water stations provides a rapidly deployable and highly flexible solution for drinking water production in any environment and for virtually any application.

Currently, ADGEX has developed and launched into production several versions of reagent-free reVODA stations, located on the basis of one 20-foot container with a capacity of up to 70 m³/day, on the basis of one 45-foot container with a capacity of up to 200 m³/day of drinking water.

A NEW PARADIGM IN BOILER FEEDWATER TREATMENT

In the field of boiler feedwater treatment, reVODA stations set a new precedent for dramatically reducing operational expenditures (OPEX) at combined heat and power (CHP) plants and boiler houses. This is achieved by completely eliminating the need for the following in the water treatment process:

  • Chemical reagents
  • Sodium hypochlorite
  • Coagulants
  • Corrosion inhibitors and other reactive chemicals
  • Anti-scaling agents

All these substances are extensively used in traditional chemical water treatment (CWT) systems but become entirely obsolete with reVODA technology.

User Benefits of Reagent-Free reVODA Stations

  • Reagent-Free Technology. ReVODA stations operate without the use of any chemicals or reagents, eliminating associated costs, handling, and storage.
  • Scalability. Thanks to a modular, block-based design, reVODA stations can be easily scaled to meet any customer's required capacity.
  • Rapid Deployment. ReVODA stations can be commissioned on a turnkey basis in as little as 4 months. They can be housed in existing buildings or quickly erected structures.
  • Versatility & Resilience. ReVODA stations are highly adaptable, handling influent with varying compositions and temperature fluctuations. They are also resistant to shock loads and tolerant of operational standstills.
  • Flexible Operating Modes. The stations offer multiple operating regimes to suit demand, including enhanced, round-the-clock, and intermittent modes.
  • Low Operational Expenditure (OPEX). Operating costs for reVODA stations are significantly lower compared to traditional chemical water treatment (CWT) systems.
  • Environmentally Compliant Waste Disposal. Waste screened from the inlet water and sludge from sedimentation tanks are classified as low-hazard waste, allowing for standard disposal procedures.
  • Minimal Sanitary Buffer Zone. ReVODA stations require a sanitary protection zone of only 20 meters.

The reVODA technology represents a true breakthrough in reagent-free water treatment, providing an efficient, economical, and eco-friendly method for obtaining high-quality drinking water and industrial boiler feedwater, completely eliminating the need for chemical reagents and additives.
